About
This project was born by Adam Spencer ’14, a Rhetoric major with a minor in Theater. Although he began his tenure in the mid 2000s, he took some time off to gain practical field experiences in order to hone his talent. Before returning to complete his studies at Bates, “Ace” worked with UndergroundHipHop.com as well as CBS MaxPreps filming and editing videos featuring high school sports. When he isn’t enjoying long walks on the beach and baking chocolate chip cookies, he can be found on the Rugby pitch, or on the Track oval. He is a long-time member of the Bates Men’s Track Team, and is among the schools All-Time Top 10 performance list for the 200 and 400 meters. And it is rumored that Ace is the All-Time single season leading scorer on the Bates Men’s Rugby Team.
The Bates Nation format is simple. Casual short yet informative videos educate the members of our community as to what is going on around the campus. These videos work to attach names and faces to the various different talents and campus organizations – sometimes only known to exist behind the veil of pesky announce emails. From Art to Zumba we cover it all.
“Bates Nation” strives to highlight the individual talents and abilities of the diverse members of the Bates College community.
